Theft Arrests
On 7/2/2007, 18 year old Casey Convertito of 19 Cedarwood Lane, Shelton, was arrested on 5 counts of Forgery Second Degree and 2 Counts of Larceny 3rd Degree. Convertito is accused of stealing checks from a friend's parent, forging the checks and cashing the checks for over $1,000.00. Convertito is additionally charged with stealing over $4200.00 of jewelry from the same residence. Convertito was released on a $2,000.00 bond with a 7-23-2007 court date.
A 17 year old Youthful Offender was also arrested for forging one of the checks and receiving $100.00. The youth was held on a $5,000.00 bond and was arraigned on 7/3/2007.
