Police Arrest Robbery Suspects
Shelton Police arrested 21 Daniel Reid of 61 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, CT and 18 year old Daniel Zeleznick of 32 Kneen Shelton, Shelton, on charges of Robbery 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree and Larceny 6th Degree. The arrests stem from an investigation of a robbery that occurred on 2/23/2007. A male reported that he was robbed of money and his cell phone in a drug deal gone bad. The victim was looking to buy cocaine from Zeleznick and Reid. Instead of cocaine, the victim got a beating and his money and phone stolen. Police were able to identify Zeleznick and Reid through witness accounts and telephone records of the suspects. Both Reid and Zeleznick were arrested without incident. Bond for each was $50,000. Zeleznick was arrested on 6/1/07 and Reid was arrested this morning. Reid was arraigned in Derby Superior Court today.
