On Saturday March 3, 2007 at approximately 04:53 AM, the Shelton Police Department received a 911 call from a female reporting that she had just been assault in her apartment. The responding patrol officers determined an unknonw male had entered a second floor apartment in the area of Myrtle Street and Coram Avenue while the victim was sleeping. The female victim reported she was sexually assaulted.
Patrol officers requested the Detective Division to investigate, while the Shelton EMS transported the female victim to Griffin Hospital Emergency Room for injuries sustained in the assault. The female victim was treated and released. The Detective Division collected evidence at the residence and is currently interviewing the female victim.
The Detective Division is continuing with this investigation.
