On February 28th, the Girl Scouts from St. Lawrence School Troop 830 came to the Shelton Police Department to deliver "stuffed teddy bears".  The Girl Scouts were greeted by Chief Joel Hurliman and members of the Detective Division.  The Girl Scouts Troop 830 initiated the project of collecting and donating to the Police Department the teddy bears as part of their "My Community" Service Badge.

The teddy bears are used by the police department to be given to children who are victims of serious crime or a traumatic incident.  Chief Hurliman is extremely appreciative for the efforts of Troop 830.
