The Shelton Police Department Traffic Division is responsible for enforcing all traffic regulations within the City of Shelton, investigating and recommending improvements for Shelton traffic movement and investigating all Fatal and Serious Motor Vehicle Accidents. The Traffic Division is responsible for setting up all road closures and detours for special events such as parades, and block parties.
The Traffic Division also works with Connecticut State Police and Connecticut Truck Squad in their efforts to enforce traffic enforcement on State Roads within the City of Shelton town limits.
