Public Works, emergency services, police, fire and ambulance services are essential services and will remain open and available.
Emergency services will continue to respond to 9-1-1 and calls for service using enhanced procedures to keep our first responders and community members safe.
The Police Department will continue to take reports over the telephone for minor issues or incidents which would not require an officer to visit a home or business.
To assist the public during this time of social distancing, the Shelton Police Department Records Division is accepting online requests . Accident Reports can be obtained online at Buycrash.com. Other reports can be requested by email at records@sheltonpolice.org. Please send at least one name of person related to the incident, incident location, incident date and approximate incident time. This email address will be monitored during normal business hours. Accident reports can take up to 10 business days before being available.
All background fingerprinting at the Shelton Police Department is by appointment only.
